Dear Resident Here is a round-up of what has been happening in Willenhall South, New Invention, and Short Heath this last week. Willenhall officers have arrested a male for possession of a bladed article. The male was given a conditional caution.Whilst Willenhall Officers were on patrol around the Keyway, they spotted a suspicious male hanging around outside the stores. After a short foot chase the male was detained. The male was charged with 5 shop lifting offences and an assault. Wolverhampton officers have detained a male that was responsible for shop lifting in Willenhall. The male was charged with 4 shop lifting offences and an assault. Willenhall officers have stopped search 4 male for Section 1 nothing was found.We have conducted 2 visited have been conducted with Walsall Housing Group (WHG) regarding cannabis smoking inside properties.We have done a Police Surgery at St Thomas More School. 6 pupils were spoken to about social media, criminal damage and knife crime. Attended Fibbersley Academy to talk to nursery pupils about what the Police do. The pupils interacted and asked lots of questions. We have attended Cosy Corner at the Chart Centre on 30/01. It was nice to see a good turn out and life singer was absolutely fabulous belting out hits from Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. It anyone is interested in attending the Cosy Corner is held every Thursday between 5:30pm to 7:30pm.The Police and Community Together meeting (PACT) was held on Thursday 30th January, an update of the meeting will be in the next WMnow message. ASB Willenhall officers have continued to patrol Willenhall Town centre due to reports of on-going ASB in the town. Officers have done a joint patrol with Community Protection from Walsall Council. We have visited local store which have been affected by the on-going ASB. Advice has been given to report all incidents of ASB to the Police.We have had reports of drug dealing and smoking cannabis in Stroud Avenue. We have continued to patrol the area and have not had any further reports.We have had reports of fly-tipping and off-road bikes on the Beacon Estate, if anyone has got any information please contact 101 for the off-road bikes.
