Appeal for witnesses following reported hunting offences near Sherborne


Officers from the Rural Crime Team are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward following reported hunting offences near Sherborne.

 

It is reported that between 2pm and 2.30pm on Saturday 1 February 2025 offences were committed under the Hunting Act 2004 where a fox was pursued by hounds in fields surrounding Bishops Caundle and Alweston.

 

Police Constable Sebastian Haggett, of the Rural Crime Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the report to establish what happened.

 

“I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and either witnessed the incident or captured something of relevance on camera footage.”
