Darlington Neighbourhood Watch Association

Hello Emma and Charlotte and welcome to Neighbourhood Watch. I am Richard Beaumont, Chair and MSA (Multi Scheme Administrator) for the Borough of Darlington Neighbourhood Watch Association. You have been referred to me by NHW Network in London so I may provide you with a local contact and support to help you get the most out of your membership of the biggest crime defense group in the UK. Neighbourhood Watch is a charity and all local groups and schemes are run by volunteers. You are now or will soon be receiving information from the Network in London about scams and fraudulent activity and from Durham Police you will be briefed on local crime. If there is anything I can do to support you please let me know.

Once you have got used to us you may want to help your neighbours join a scheme that you will create for your street because that is how you will become more safe. If all your neighbours are involved with Neighbourhood Watch they will make your street much safer against local crime as you will all be looking out for each other. To do this you will canvas your neighbours with pamphlets that I will send you that will encourage them to log into Ourwatch.org and register as a member. You will then apply to Network as a coordinator for your street and your role will involve less that 2 hours a week after that. You will get to know all your neighbours and you  will make lots of friends for they will appreciate what you have done for them.  If you do this I will erect a road sign in your street that states THIS IS A NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH AREA that will deter thieves.

Please respond to this mail so I know you have received it .

With my regards Richard Beaumont
