PCSOs from the Morecambe Neighbourhood Police Team has conducted a community road watch operation on Lancaster Road, which has a speed limit of 20mph, following concerns raised be residents.
They used a speed gun to check the speeds of vehicles driving along Lancaster Road over a period of time. 16 vehicles were clocked speeding over 23mph, with 14 of those doing 25mph or more. All will receive warning letters which will be issued by Lancashire Road Safety Partnership.
The Morecambe Neighbourhood Police Team will continue to conduct similar road watch operations in and around Morecambe
