Colleagues are appealing for information after making three arrests following a stabbing in #Newark.
They were called around 10.35pm on Monday 3rd February after paramedics reported a man had suffered a stab wound.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, had been assaulted in the car park at Morrisons supermarket in King’s Road. He was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers worked quickly overnight and arrested three suspects at addresses in Newark. They also recovered a knife.
Two 18-year-old men were detained on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent. A third 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector James Oakton, of Nottinghamshire Police said: “We have a team of detectives working hard to progress this investigation. “Officers worked quickly and efficiently overnight to detain three suspects but we are also asking for the public’s help. “This incident took place in a supermarket car park and despite the time of day we believe there could have been witnesses. “Likewise there may be people who have recorded dashcam or other footage which could assist officers with their inquiries.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 709 of 3rd February 2025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
