Dear Resident Hope you are having a great week. Please see the below update regarding some of the work the team have been doing over the last week. Tackling shop theft remains a priority for Bloxwich Police and you will see our officers regularly carrying out patrols on the high street both as a deterrent and to provide reassurance and advice to local retailers and businesses. We arrested two individuals for shop theft with last week with one further arrested for possession of an offensive weapon. This highlights our continued commitment to tackling crime and ensuring public safety. We have also been carrying out patrols and engaging with residents in the Vernon Way, Forrest Mercia Way, Glastonbury Crescent and King Georges Park areas to enhance community safety and deter anti-social behaviour. We were excited to kick off a new Junior PCSO course at Abbey Primary School. This is a great initiative for young students to learn about community safety, responsibility, and teamwork and we are looking forward to seeing them grow into future role models. We also visited Year 2 students at All Saints National Academy today where we talked about the importance of staying safe near roads. This was then followed by a knife crime prevention input to Year 6 students. We partnered with the Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) for a meet and greet, further strengthening our ties with local organizations dedicated to supporting the community. Yesterday (4th) our PCSO’s held a ‘Walk and Talk’ at Kings Georges Park. This was a great opportunity for anyone to come and join us for a walk around the park and to talk about community matters or concerns, ask for advice or just simply enjoy a friendly stroll. We are looking to do more of this type of engagement in the future, details will be posted on our local policing webpage (see below link)Don’t forget to visit our X (Twitter) Page @BloxwichWMP for all the latest updates and information on upcoming meetings or events in the area. You can also visit the Bloxwich Neighbourhood Team dedicated web page to see crime data for the Bloxwich area, details of upcoming public meetings or events as well as our current priorities and how we are tackling these.
