End of six update for the Perry Barr Policing team


Dear Resident,

 

First newsletter of the new year, the Perry Barr Policing team would like to take a moment to wish all of our readers / community a very Happy New Year. May 2025 bring you joy, success and new opportunities. Here’s to a fresh start filled with positive moments and achievements. We look forward to continuing our work together and making this year a great one.

 

 

Local crime: 

Here are the crime updates for Perry Barr area between 01/01/2025 and 25/01/2025.

 

Derrydown Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 4pm on 01/01/2025 and 7am on 02/01/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Audi Q2. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means causing no damage to vehicle. Offenders stole wallet containing credit / debit cards. 

Walsall Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 11am and 12pm on 02/01/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Skoda Octavia. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by forcing rear passengers window with an unknown implement. Offenders stole a Samsung tablet from vehicle. 

Gainsborough Road – Burglary – Between 12pm and 11.14pm on 04/01/2025, unknown persons have entered the property via the front door causing damage to the side of the door. Offender has then proceeded to the bedroom. Offender has conducted a untidy search of the bedroom. Offenders stole £1000 worth of jewellery. 

Dorrington Road – Tampering with motor vehicle – Between 5.30pm on 27/12/2024 and 5.20am on 06/01/2025, unknown persons have approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit van. Offenders have drilled a hole in the side door of van in an attempt to gain entry. No entry gained. Damaged caused. 

Church Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 08/01/2025 and 6am on 09/01/2025, unknown persons have approached a secure, locked and unattended Citroen Relay. Offenders have smashed driver side front window by unknown means. Once inside the vehicle offenders have removed seat covers and control panel.

Curbar Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – Between 2am and 2.30am on 02/01/2025, doorbell camera picked up three males pull up at location in a dark vehicle with a noisy engine. Males approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Males attempted to pick the lock of vehicle without success. Males gave up and left location.

Booths Farm Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 6pm and 11pm on 12/01/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Volkswagen Touran. Offenders removed front and rear number plates. 

Perry Avenue – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 1am and 7.20am on 15/01/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Fiesta. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole it. 

Glendower Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 10pm on 13/01/2025 and 12:53pm on 15/01/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, locked and unattended Honda WW125 motorbike. Offenders have stolen the motorbike by unknown means,

Tame Road – Other criminal damage to a vehicle – Between 1pm on 16/01/2025 and 11.45am on 17/01/2025, unknown persons have approached a secure, parked and unattended Range Rover. Offenders have caused damage to vehicle by spraying it with green paint. 

 

Local news:

  • Officers from the team arrested two males for Car Key Burglary and Burglary, one male is now in prison and the other is on bail with strict conditions.
  • Officers conducted patrols at One Stop Shopping Centre re issues of violent disturbances including students from different schools. The team have been collaborating with Safer Travel, OSU (Operational Support Unit) and One Stop Security.
  • Joint Patrols and weapons sweeps with Police Dogs teams around Perry Hall Park.
