As Neighbourhood officers we try and stay on our beats as much as we can, but when we get a call that someone has gone missing we don't hesitate to assist in the search. This is what happened yesterday. With darkness and the temperature falling, I, together with officers from the Rural North and Town North beats, assisted Oakham officers to successfully locate the person who I'm pleased to say is now safe and well.
