Henley - weekly update

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:

PATROLS

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Henley areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour, such as Crosspoint Business Park and Hillmorton Road.

REASSURANCE

We have had two burglaries on Hinckley Road, two theft from motor vehicles on Turlands Close and Monkswood Crescent and one theft of vehicle at Crosspoint Business Park in Walsgrave. We have been conducting enquiries and paying attention to this area for reassurance to residents. For crime prevention advice on how to keep your homes and vehicles safe, please visit our website: Crime prevention advice | West Midlands Police

NUISANCE MOTORBIKES
The use of Off Road bikes is illegal and that we will work with partners to address those that are persistently using these bikes in an antisocial manner. This could result in action against people’s tenancies for their homes, alongside any criminal enforcement that is taken by Police. There is also a City Wide Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which will result in a fine when riders are identified.

West Midlands Police have recently introduced a dedicated Off Road Bike Team, which we will look to use in Coventry. We ask that you remain vigilant and where safe to do so, take as much detail about the rider or the bikes, including distinguishing colours of clothing, bikes or any key locations where these bikes start and report this to Police so we can continue to build on the wealth of information that people are providing in relation to this issue.

OTHER INFORMATION

Our Henley PACT meeting on 05/02/2025 at 6pm at Moat House Leisure Centre, Winston Avenue, CV2 1EA has been cancelled - we will get this rescheduled in due course and will update you of our new date.

If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101 or by visiting us online at Home | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk) where you will find access to the LIVE CHAT facility. Alternatively you can contact the CRIMESTOPPERS charity anonymously by calling 0800 555 111. This is a free phone number. CRIMESTOPPERS can also be contacted online here: Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)

Please do not report crime via WMnow because it is not always monitored.

Kind Regards,

The Henley & Longford Neighbourhood Policing Team
