Arrest of a prolific offender

On Wednesday 5th February near Dartford Town Centre, Dartford beat officers located and arrested a prolific offender well known to Kent Police who was alleged to have committed criminal damage, theft and breaching his Community Protection Notice (CPN).  A CPN is issued to individuals who behave in a manner that would cause members of the community distress, nuisance, annoyance and other various behaviours that would impact the community.

During the arrest and conveyance of this individual, he decided to aggressively resist arrest and assault 2 police officers in the process. However, the male is now in custody and away from other members of public to answer for the alleged offences against him.

I will continue to make the effort to make our community safer and I apologise if you witnessed this event and has distressed you in any way. Everyone involved is safe and well, and the individual will go through the courts.
