As you may already be aware we have had a couple of vehicle crime incidents across our patch, vehicles have been stolen from residential driveways.

Upon engagement, House to house and CCTV enquiries it has been noted that residents are not calling the police to make reports first-hand but are posting about it on social media first.

Please remember, the Police do not always see what is being shared on social media, if you spot a suspicious vehicle or witness something please call the Police first, as your reporting could lead to preventing an offence/incident from happening.

There have been many social media posts regarding a dark coloured Audi without number plates and a dark coloured BMW saloon being driven around, acting suspiciously in the same areas, same time frames of when those very vehicles have been stolen.

Please remember important information like this needs to be called in to the Police so that it can be acted upon robustly.
