Safer Internet Day


Dear Residents,

 

In support of #SaferInternetDay, our Cyber Crime unit are hosting free online sessions over the next few weeks to talk about the latest fraud and scams and how you can take simple steps to protect yourself, friends and family online. 

 

Here are Take Five’s top tips to stay safe online:

💻 Use strong and unique passwords for your online accounts
💻 Turn on 2-step verification to add an extra layer of security to your accounts
💻 Avoid clicking on links from social media, emails, texts or online ads
💻 Update your software and apps regularly
💻 Check your online privacy settings and be mindful of what personal information you share on social media, online forums or dating apps
