Officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify a cyclist in connection with a stolen mountain e-bike in Ripley.
A man or boy stole a black Specialized Turbo Tero e-bike from within the grounds of Ripley Academy in Peasehill at 11.13am on Monday 3 February.
The suspect was wearing white Nike trainers with a black swoosh, black trousers, a long black coat with a fur trim around the hood, black gloves and a black face covering.
They were also wearing an orange high visibility jacket with writing on the back and had a black backpack with the words ‘Just Do It’ written on it in white letters.
Officers have been following several lines of investigation and have now released a CCTV image of a cyclist we would like to speak to in relation to the incident. To see the CCTV image, visit the Codnor, Ripley and Waingroves Police SNT Facebook page and look for the post uploaded on 18 February 2025.
We would also like to hear from anyone who lives or works on Waingroves Road or Steam Mill Lane who has CCTV from around the time of the theft and has not yet spoken to officers.
