Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 19 February 2025


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

Between 10.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday 15 February in Langton Court, Mill Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a door lock and door handle were damaged in an attempt to gain entry to a property.

Around 1.20am on Tuesday 18 February in Westbourne Road, Sutton in Ashfield, an unlocked car was entered and the doors and boot left open. A tyre compressor, battery charger and a house key were stolen by someone wearing a grey jacket with reflective patches. This person returned at 2.04am and tried to open the house door with the key but failed.

Burglary Other

Between 10.00pm on Thursday 13 and 8.30am on Friday 14 February in Brook Street, Sutton in Ashfield, the Gurkha Palace restaurant was broken into damaging the back door. The CCTV box, money and alcohol was stolen. 

Theft of motor vehicle

Between 1.00pm and 1.30pm on Thursday 13 February in Swanson Avenue, Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, a green Yamaha Delight moped was stolen from outside a property

Between 7.00am on Wednesday 12 and 6.45am on Thursday 13 February in Fackley Road, Teversal, Sutton in Ashfield, a red Piaggio Zip moped, which had broken down, was left under a black cover on a patch of grass at the roadside from where it was stolen.

Between 7.30pm on Friday 14 and 3.25am on Saturday 15 February in Cosgrove Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, A grey Sinnis Connect motorbike secured with a lock and chain was stolen. The securing chain was cut.

Criminal Damage

At 4.20pm on Friday 14 February in Leamington Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, a passenger who got out of a white Toyota Corolla taxi argued with the driver before paying for the journey. As the taxi pulled away he threw a can of Fanta at the car damaging the Taxi sign on the roof. The passenger was a white male, 16/18 years old, black hair wearing a blue/black hoodie and blue/black tracksuit bottoms
