Man remanded after Class A drugs found after car stopped in Pinxton

A Nottingham man has been remanded to prison after cannabis grow and hundreds of wraps of Class A drugs found following a car being stopped in Pinxton.

 

A Ford Mondeo was stopped in Town Street just after 11.30am on Wednesday 6 February. Inside the car suspected class A drugs were found.

 

A further search of an address in Watnall found a significant amount of class A drugs which were seized.

 

Matthew Nelmes, of Hillcrest Close, Watnall, Nottingham, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and production of cannabis on 6 February and was remanded into police custody.

 

The 52-year-old then appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court the following day where he was further remanded to prison to appear at court at a date in the future.

 

A second man in his 30s, from Loughborough, was arrested during the same initial stop in Pinxton on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
