Good Afternoon,

It is sad we are even having to send this message out and we appreciate this does not apply to the majority of children living in our area, however, can we ask all parents and guardians to remind their children of the dangers of throwing objects at moving vehicles.

This week in West Lancashire we have had a group of children who thought it was a good idea to throw bottles at moving cars. This has resulted in the passenger window of one vehicle being shattered whilst the vehicle was still moving at speed. It was only by luck that the female driving did not have her baby in the car with her and that nobody else was injured.

Anyone identified taking part in such activity will be arrested. This is an offence of Aggravated Criminal Damage and people can be seriously injured as a result of such reckless behaviour.
