Dear Resident,

We are appealing to Pershore community for information following a burglary -unconnected building at The ALLOTMENTS, NOGAINS, off Defford Road, Pershore.

The burglary took place overnight on the 20th February and another on the evening of 21st February.

The Allotments have been broken into and items of machinery, such as a generator, hedge trimmer, Lawn Mowers, Rotavators, Strimmers and some Solar panels off the roof of one shed.   They have also set fire to one end of a shed that had some paper material inside.   We have taken some locks, that were damaged, tampered with, as evidence to see if we can get any fingerprints from them.

The offenders have gained access by damaging the hedgerow at the back of the field.   Unfortunately there isn't any CCTV in this area.

Over the course of the last 3 days, support and reassurance has been given to residents that we know have been affected so far and Smart water has been given to try and help with marking any items of value for the future.  We are also in contact with the local council to see if any further security can be put in place.  We have had our Rural and Business Crime Officers attend this site previously and have also given relevant advice.
