Crime Alert - Theft from a Vehicle


Humberside Police are investigating a report of suspicious activity/ attempt car theft on Lime Tree Avenue, Goole.

 

The incident occurred around 20:30 on 21/02/2025. The offender(s) approached a vehicle on a drive and with a torch, looking into the car windows and were than disturbed by the neighbors security light.

 

We are advising you of this incident to enable you to safeguard against potential vehicle crime.

If you  saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref: 

 

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

 

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into, please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times, and ensure you double lock it.
  • Make sure that your vehicle alarm is set.
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Don't leave tools in a van over night.
  • If possible park your vehicle on a drive or as close to your home as possible.
  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
