Your community crime update

Good Afternoon Resident,

Here’s a quick round up from myself and the rest of the Bushbury and Low Hill neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening

  • Burglaries
  • Since the 17th February 2025 we have seen a reduction in burglaries within the Bushbury and Low Hill neighbourhood which is extremely positive news, however this does not mean we can become complacent.

If you feel you are aware of any suspicious behaviour or have any concerns in relation to the above message please contact us via 101 or WMPLive Chat. We always recommend reporting via the appropriate channels 999 in an emergency or 101/ live-chat to ensure preventative work can be conducted by your neighbourhood team.

  • Update on vehicle crime.
  • Over the past 7 days we have seen an increase in vehicle related crime. As a neighbourhood team we are currently using both officer and community related intelligence to reduce the amount of issues being caused. If you feel you could contribute to this intelligence please don’t hesitate to report it via WMP or Crime Stoppers. The information provided will and can remain completely anonymous.

    Theft of motor information:

  • StreetWatch
  • Are you interested in supporting your community? If so we need you!

StreetWatch is a community-led project. It’s made up of groups of volunteers who are at least 18 years old.The groups go out and patrol their area. The patrols help to stop crime and anti-social behaviour. They also help people in the area get to know each other.

As a Street Watch member, you'll patrol your local area alongside one of your neighbours for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you.

You'll talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe. So your neighbours know what you're there for, you wear a high-visibility Street Watch jacket.

    You'll be supported by:

  • the local Street Watch coordinator
  • your local police
  •

  • Drop in surgeries in your area.
