**If you find this message useful, make sure to leave a rating at the bottom - it's very quick and simple!**

Good afternoon,

We’d like to make you aware of two burglaries that have taken place in the Blackwater area over the past couple of days.

Between Thursday 20th February at approximately 18:00 and Saturday 22nd February at approximately 16:00, unknown persons have entered an address on Rosemary Gardens. Offenders have commenced messy search of the address, however it is not yet clear what has been taken. It is not clear of the point of entry at this time.

Between 20th and 23rd February, unknown persons have entered an address on Frogmore Park Drive. Again, a messy search has commenced and jewellery has been confirmed as taken. It is believed that the point of entry was a first floor window to the rear of the address.

Have you seen anything suspicious such as people or vehicles loitering? Do you have any information that would assist an investigation? Contact 101 or visit our website, quoting occurrence number 44250080498 in relation to Rosemary Gardens, and 44250081157 for Frogmore Park Drive.

Our top three crime prevention tips for burglaries:

  • Add as many layers of security to make accessing your home more difficult. This could include installing CCTV or video doorbells which can then be used for evidential purposes in the event of a crime;
  • A house that appears occupied is less likely to be targeted by burglars, so installing light switch timers or smart bulbs inside the house can help make it appear occupied. Likewise, dusk to dawn sensor lighting to the front and rear of your home can help deter potential thieves;
  • Keep high value, easily portable jewellery and equipment from being visible through a window and register them at www.immobilise.com.
  •

    Stay safe,
