On the afternoon of Thursday 20th February Valley Beat Officers were out and about in Castle Donington conducting speed checks on the bypass (40 MPH) near to Foxhills Primary School and at the Bondgate (30 MPH) junction with Diseworth Road.

A total of 361 vehicles were checked with 88 found to be exceeding the speed limit.  

Two vehicle's were stopped driving at excessive speed - 45 MPH (30 zone) and 52 MPH (40 zone).  Both driver's were issue with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) and subsequently reported for a speeding offence.
