During the evening of Friday and Saturday, Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) collaborated with colleagues from Roads Policing and the Motorcycle Units to target impaired drivers. As a result of this operation, one individual was arrested after failing to stop and driving dangerously through the town. This individual was also arrested for additional offences. Furthermore, two other drivers were apprehended for either drink or drug driving. Three vehicles were seized, and other drivers were reported to court for offences ranging from lack of tax or insurance to driving at excessive speeds.

Impaired driving and excessive speed are two of the fatal four factors in road fatalities. We will continue to proactively target drivers who pose a risk to public safety.
