Online Safety

Good afternoon,

I visited a primary school yesterday to deliver an online safety talk to the children in Year 6. The talk covers what devices can be used to access the internet, how any information they share online can be used, how to stay safe online and the consequences of using inappropriate language or threatening behaviour through the online platforms.

If your child has access to the internet, please ensure that there are parental restrictions in place to safeguard your child online and regularly check in with them to make sure everything is ok.

Please speak to your child's school if you have any concerns, however, if your child has been subject to any online abuse, bullying, harassment or exploitation in any way, we would urge you to report this to the Police.

Kind regards

PCSO Chris McSweeney
