Drugs related activity

On 26/02/2025 several officers from Bishops Castle, Craven Arms and Church Stretton conducted a plain clothes operation around Bishops Castle Town to target drug related activity. Officers spoke with several individuals and stopped other individuals who they believed may be concerned in drug related activity. This will be a regular initiative going forward to identify and target those individuals who are involved in drug related activity. Any individuals who are identified with drugs will be dealt with robustly.

Plain clothes operations allow the police to target those who would not ordinarily be seen by marked units. This can involve officers in unmarked cars and on foot in plain clothes who blend in with member of the public allowing the officers to witness the offences taking place and act swiftly.

If you have any information about drug dealing in your area and have concerns then please contact us on bccar.snt@westmercia.police.uk
