Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Holbrooks neighbourhood policing team.

Dear Resident,
Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Holbrooks neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening?

This week started with the arrest of two persons following an incident at a local business park. Officers initially attended the area following a report of an abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival it became clear that there was more to the job than initially provided. Two persons has abandoned the vehicle and then assaulted security staff at the location as well as causing damage to a bus stop. One of the males was located near to the vehicle the other was located after a short area search. The vehicle was identified as stolen. As a result, both males were arrested for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Assault and Criminal Damage.

Part of the daily duties of the neighbourhood team is to address anti-social behaviour (ASB). This week has seen a good result for a victim of ASB who received compensation from persons involved in ASB which had resulted in damage caused to the victim’s property. As a result of an investigation by members of the team the four persons involved were all identified. Those identified received a Community resolution and were made to pay for damages caused. All four members of the group had Community Protection Warnings issued.

The police officers on the team have been conducting arrest attempts across our area for members of a group of shoplifters targeting retail stores around our four wards.

The team has also been stopping vehicles whilst out on patrols this week. Two vehicles were seized this week.

The first was this Seat that was seized from a new driver who was using the vehicle without the correct insurance. The vehicle was seized from the male and he had to walk home.

The second vehicle was this Citroen that was seized from a delivery driver who did not have insurance or tax for the vehicle.

Have your Say!

We will be holding speedwatches across our four wards during the month of March. We are asking for locations from the community where they may be an issue with speeding. If you have a location we can do a speedwatch you can reply to this message and we will assess the location and if it is suitable for a speedwatch the neighbourhood team will attend the location this month.

Get involved.
Streetwatch is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe, including just walking round your neighbourhood, which can really help. Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you.
If you are interested in taking part in a Streetwatch within the Holbrooks area you can contact the Holbrook, Radford, Sherbourne

& Bablake team on holbrookandradford@westmidlands.police.uk
