Road Safety and Speed Checks at Penny Acres School

PC Matthews, PCSO Flower and PCSO Gelsthorpe have been working with the children of Penny Acres Primary School this afternoon.
We have been conducting speed checks and looking for vehicles that are exceeding the 30mph limit outside of the school. The children had a great time and got to give out some hand-made posters when a driver exceeded the limit.

Activities like this are not just fun for the children, but they are good for educational purposes too. Lots of the children told us that they already remind their parents/carers to be mindful of their speed when driving.
