Fake £20 Notes - Wheathampstead.

Please be aware, particularly if you run a shop or business , of two males who have been involved in passing fake King Charles £20 Bank of England bank notes.

On Monday 3rd March 2025 a white male approx. 50 years old , wearing a navy blue polo shirt, navy baseball cap and silver frames glasses entered a Wheathampstead pub. He was accompanied by a slim white male of approx. 20 years of age, with short black hair wearing a dark hoody.

Both ordered drinks separately. One a tonic water, the other a Coke. These are relatively low cost items. the bar staff gave change in the region of £18.

The males may be driving a silver hatchback.

Please check all banknotes particularly when a customer is buying a low value item, receiving a significant amount of change relative to the purchase price.
