Community Speed Watch Event held at Woolleybridge Road, Hadfield (Tuesday 4th March 2025)

Glossop SNT - Community Speed Watch Event

The Hadfield Community Speed Watch Volunteers completed an event at Woolleybridge Road, Hadfield. It was held there between 4.00 pm and 5.00 pm, today, Tuesday 4th March. The speed limit on this stretch of road  is 30 mph.

A total of 391 vehicles were recorded driving by the team during the time the event was held - and on this occasion 18 of those were recorded speeding.

Those 18 drivers will now receive a warning letter from Derbyshire Constabulary about their speeding in Hadfield today.

The volunteers who run Community Speed Watch Groups give up their time because they care about their communities and want to help protect residents in their area.

In addition, speeding is constantly an issue that communities in Derbyshire highlight as being a significant problem and one they wish to see action taken. That’s why our groups target those areas which have been reported by the community as high-risk roads.
