Dear Residents and Local Businesses,
Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:
PATROLS Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Henley and Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour.
WARRANT Our officers carried out a misuse of drugs warrant at an address in Longford. A Samurai Sword was seized.
BURGLARIES There have been two residential burglaries on Cubbington Road in Longford reported to Police, which occurred on Saturday 1st March 2025 between 19:00 – 19:20 hours. Our officers have been doing patrols of the area to offer reassurance to residents and carried out house to house enquiries. If you have any information about these burglaries and haven’t yet spoken to police, please contact 101 and quote crime number : 20/161221/25.
You can read our burglary prevention advice here: Keep burglars out of your property | West Midlands Police
VEHICLE CRIME There has been an increase in vehicle thefts in the Walsgrave area recently. The majority of vehicles which have been targeted are keyless entry vehicles. We recommend owners of these vehicles use a Faraday pouch to block the signal from the keys, and also use a steering wheel lock. You can find out more about preventing vehicle crime here: Preventing car and vehicle theft | Crime Prevention | West Midlands Police
If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101 or by visiting us online at Home | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk) where you will find access to the LIVE CHAT facility. Alternatively you can contact the CRIMESTOPPERS charity anonymously by calling 0800 555 111. This is a free phone number. CRIMESTOPPERS can also be contacted online here: Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org) Please do not report crime via WMnow because it is not always monitored.
Kind Regards, The Henley & Longford Neighbourhood Policing Team
