Priority Update


As part of our Road Safety priority, the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been speaking with our colleagues in CREST, otherwise known as the Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team with regards to speeding concerns in communities, you have highlighted while engaging with us through surveys and at events.

 

With that in mind, officers from CREST conducted a speed check on Baslow Road in Bakewell on the afternoon of Sunday 2nd March and 32 motorists were captured speeding. These motorists will receive documentation in the post which they have to return saying who the driver was, failure to send the document back can result in further punishment.

 

These priorities were decided on after they were overwhelmingly voted for by our local community in the Derbyshire Talking surveys and in direct communication with the team at our Street Meet events.
