After following up on information received from the community, Officers have discovered a cannabis grow in the area of High Street, Goldenhill.

Over 600 plants have been seized and destroyed, arrests were made. 

There are huge risks linked to cannabis grows including modern day slavery, crime and the risk of fire to surrounding properties.

Here are signs of a cannabis grow :

* Covered or blacked out windows

* Sound of fans 

* vans visiting every couple of weeks, large items being taken in or out.

*Occupants are rarely seen

*Distinctive sweet, sickly smell.

We continue to proactively target those involved in drug cultivation across the City as part of Operation Levidrome.
