Good morning,
On Thursday, we received a report that a Ford Puma was stolen from opposite the Queens Hotel on Burnley Road in Cliviger.
The vehicle was keyless entry, and is believed to have been stolen using a electronic signal relay device. These devices copy the signal given off by the key, allowing the car to be operated without the genuine key being present.
If you have a keyless car, we recommend purchasing a signal blocking product (such as a Faraday bag/tin), and also keeping the key away from a door or window.
Always double check your car is locked when you are leaving it unattended.
A steering wheel lock makes your vehicle a harder target, due to the extra time and effort required to tamper with it.
If you see any suspicious activity, please report to us at the time via 101.
Thank you Burnley NPT | ||||
