FIREWORK THROUGH LETTERBOX APPEAL
On Thursday 6th March 2025 at approximately 1930 hours, Police received a report of ‘youths’ running around the Recreation Ground, Forest/Peppermint Drive and Blackwell Court Area of Colburn.
The ‘youths’ were letting off fireworks, with some of the group letting fireworks off from their hands. Police attended however the group dispersed.
Later the same evening between 10pm and 7am the following morning, a resident in the same area discovered a lit firework had been posted through the letterbox of the address.
It is fortunate that on this occasion the firework has not ignited anything within the address, had this not been the case then this would have put the lives of the resident, adjoining neighbour, and family at risk of serious harm. However this has still caused a high level of alarm and distress.
