Survey response: Speed scoping Exercise

Thank you for responding to our survey. We are working hard to tackle speeding along the A4106 dual carriageway section, Porthcawl. A speed scoping exercise was conducted earlier today with the following outcome:

Time start: 15:13

Time finish: 15:47

Number of vehicles checked: 80

Posted speed limit: 50mph

Average speed: 51.1mph

Highest recorded speed: 66mph

Warning letters will be issued to motorists recorded driving excessively over the posted speed limit.

If you have speeding concerns surrounding a particular area in Porthcawl, please respond to this message with the street/road name. Consideration will be given to conducting speed scoping surveys in areas where there is the greatest concern.
