Over the weekend, South Ribble Neighbourhood Officers have been out doing Community Road Watch.

The areas we have covered this weekend were Slater Ln in Leyland, Liverpool Rd in Penwortham. Church Ln in Farington Moss and Withy Tree Ave in Bamber bridge.

More than 150 vehicles were observed and over 25 of those were clocked going over the speed limit.

Local residents of these areas raised speeding concerns to us as all these roads have a 20mph speed limit.

Community Road Watch is an educational initiative aimed at improving road safety in Lancashire. Offending drivers will receive a warning letter informing them on the dangers of speeding.
