Good morning Resident,
I am writing to you with a Good News Story from one of our overnight Response teams. In the early hours of Sunday (9th March) morning, officers came across a suspicious vehicle. After attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver tried to evade Police by driving through London Colney village, eventually abandoning the vehicle on Chester Gibbons Green. A foot chase ensued with the suspect running through gardens and down the High Street, but officers successfully detained the suspect.
On searching the individual and the vehicle, officers located £800 in cash, bags of suspected Class A drugs, bags of Class B (cannabis), nitrous oxide canisters, a 5-inch kitchen knife, and knuckle dusters. On top of all of that, the vehicle was seized for having no insurance! The male was arrested for multiple offences and an investigation has been launched.
I'd like to reassure residents that whilst this may read as a concerning story, this individual is not local to London Colney and appeared to be travelling through the village. I hope the swift and robust actions of our response officers demonstrates that such criminality will not go unpunished.
Kind regards, Fiona. | ||||
