Good evening,
Here are the crime updates for 2nd March – 10th March:
Lyndon A Ford Tranit van was stolen from Brackleys Way using a keyless method. A BMW 3 series was stolen from Kimberley Road. It was later found in Birmingham thanks for a social media appeal by the owner. Offenders on mopeds attempted to steal a BMW X5 on Harvard Road. One offender was using what looked like a relay device and the other approached the vehicle, attempting to open the door. They were unsuccessful and the vehicle was not stolen. A similar instance occurred on Castle Lane, this time targeting a Toyota Corolla. There was no moped this time, both offenders appear to be on foot.
Elmdon We have had several vehicles damaged in and around Whar Hall Road and Huxbey Drive. All vehicles have suffered long scratch marks on the side. It’s possible the damage has been caused by a key. We are investigating this further and working with the victims to gather as much information as we can to identify an offender.
Olton There was an attempt burglary on Warwick Road. Three offenders were seen on CCTV accessing an outhouse belonging to the property but were spooked by the alarm system. They escaped empty handed and did not gain full entry. A Toyota Auris was stolen from Redstone Farm Road. It was recovered the next day having been involved in a road traffic collision in Acocks Green. A Honda Civic was stolen from Stoneleigh Road. Owner still has both sets of keys and there was no sign of any broken glass so it’s believed it was a keyless method to steal the vehicle. A man was seen trying car door handles on Ulverley Crescent in the early hours of the morning. As far was we know, he was unable to gain entry to any vehicles but his intentions were clear.
Silhill 4 offenders attempt to break in to a house on Manor Road. They were seen on CCTV climbing over a fence to get in to the rear garden. They removed lock barrels on the patio doors but were spooked by the owner turning on the garden spotlights. They did not gain full access to the property.
All the best, PCSO Mike Beard 31795 | ||||
