We would like to share some of our recent results which are centred around anti-social behaviour and safeguarding. 

Partial Closure Orders and Section 8 Warning Notice; 

We have issued a resident on Great Central Road with a Section 8 warning notice. The warning notice obliges the occupier of the property to act to prevent the production of all controlled drugs, supply, attempt to supply and offers to supply controlled drugs. The section used creates a criminal liability for occupiers or managers who allow their premises to be used for drug related activity. 

Closure orders are applied for to the courts by officers to prevent criminality, prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour and to protect the public. We continue to conduct compliance checks on properties subject to partial closure orders. Closure orders and the compliance checks conducted aim to prohibit access to the premises in question and it shares a strong message that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in Loughborough, and that we will not hesitate to use all available powers. Breaches of closure orders continue to be dealt with robustly. 

Safeguarding is ongoing with those subject to orders, this support is ongoing from both the Police and partner agencies. 

Anti-social behaviour hotspots; 

The team continue to conduct high visibility patrols within the areas of Steeple Row, Rectory Place, Lewis Road, Burder Street and Sidings Walk. . We endeavour to conduct high visibility foot patrols to gather intelligence from the community, complete safeguarding checks on vulnerable persons, engage with our partners in the community and to show a greater presence in areas susceptible to anti-social behaviour.
