Good Morning.

We have been made aware of a Scam that has been reported by a Hornsea Resident.

The scammer called the victim informing them that they had won a cash prize but in order to release the money the victim is required to pay a sum of money to the scammer, the scammer asks for the money to be sent to them in cash via recorded delivery, the scammer also says they will send you a free gift which in this case was a laptop which never arrived.

Please be vigilant and if it sounds too good to be true it is.

Never give any bank account/card details over the telephone
