Small and portable with a high resale value, jewellery is top of every burglar’s wish list.

We recommend storing high value items somewhere like a safe deposit box in a bank. Need to store them at home? Consider investing in a safe.

There are different types and sizes to suit your needs and budget. Secure to the wall or floor if possible, to prevent them being removed and carried off by determined thieves.

The first place a burglar will search is under beds and in wardrobes and bedside tables. Think outside the box: store valuables in false bottom drawers, bookcases, or the loft.

So many of the burglary reports we receive state the thieves got in through rear windows or doors.

Lock away ladders and secure screwdrivers: keep tools out of sight and reach of would-be thieves.

Keep your keys locked down: don’t leave house or car keys in view of windows or doors. If a burglar can see it, they can reach it.

Consider signal blocking pouches or boxes for keyless entry fobs.

Sound the alarm: If you have a burglar alarm, make sure it covers every floor in your home and any sheds or outbuildings.

We know that retail crime has a significant impact on victims, witnesses and communities.

Surrey Police has teamed up with Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey Lisa Townsend to launch a new survey on retail crime.

We want to hear from local businesses and anyone who has been affected by this type of crime to truly understand the scale of offending in #Surrey

Please find a link to the survey here👉 https://orlo.uk/M405S

The British Horse Society

As the number of vehicles continues to increase resulting in busier roads, this means these routes are becoming much more challenging to use, especially for vulnerable road users like horse riders and carriage drivers.

Our aim is to reduce the number of incidents and fatalities involving horses and riders on the road by involving and guiding all road users how to pass a horse safely. Our campaign is to inform drivers what to do if they encounter a horse on the road. More here –
