You will have heard of Bin the Bangers? The Police initiative that works with the DVLA to seize untaxed vehicles.  We would like to introduce you to Bin the Back Street Blockers.  This is a new Police initiative working with Pendle Council to rid back streets of vehicles that are causing an obstruction. In reality you will know you can’t block a back street for a number of reasons not least emergency access.  The wider issue - the council are struggling to collect waste and cleanse back streets. So please see this post as advance warning that this project starts this week. Avoid a fine of £30 and the cost of recovering your vehicle from the Police compound which will be over £200.00.
