Missing Malcolm formally identified

We can sadly confirm that the body recently recovered from water in Knypersley is missing 74-year-old, Malcolm, from Lask Edge, near Biddulph Moor.

We were called at 4.30pm to Knypersley Reservoir, off Greenway Bank in Biddulph, on Sunday (9 March).

Officers attended with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. 

Sadly, Malcolm was recovered from the water by fire crews.

We are not treating his death as suspicious. 

We’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information as part of our efforts to find Malcolm and those who shared our appeals.
