Dear Business Owner and/or Senior Manager,

Lancashire Police are aware of concerns raised on the Rossendale Road Industrial Estate from businesses in relation to business burglaries.

In response to this, Lancashire Police are engaging the services of an accredited Designing Out Crime Officer (DOCO) who is going to provide a detailed report about the existing security provision on the industrial estate along with recommendations about how it could be improved.

I have arranged a meeting which is due to take place at VEKA PLC at:

10:00 hours on Wednesday 19th March 2025.

The DOCO report will be presented at this meeting and there will be an opportunity for a Q&A with the police and council whereby your concerns can be heard and questions answered.

Please can you consider sending a representative to the meeting who would be of an appropriate decision-making grade within your business as there will be elements of the DOCO report which may need implementing in your respective businesses and at various cost levels.

Please could I ask for an email to the address at the top of the letter if you are planning on attending so that we can arrange facilities.
