Whilst on patrol officers from the Westhoughton Neighbourhood Policing Team sighted a vehicle driving erratically through rush hour traffic on De Havilland Way, Horwich.

Officers stopped the vehicle, and it was soon established the driver had no license or insurance.

The vehicle also had intelligence to suggest the occupants may be carrying weapons. The vehicle and driver were searched and thankfully no weapons were recovered on this occasion.

The vehicle was seized, and the driver reported for the relevant offences.
