It has come to our attention that youths have been lighting fires in woodland areas in several different areas of Skipton & South Craven this last week.

Some of these areas are private land & occupied by livestock.

As well as the obvious danger from the fires, the landowner has reported an increasing amount of damage from unauthorised campers on their land in recent years.

 Please make your children aware of the dangers of such activity.

Craven Neighbourhood Policing team work alongside North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue to raise awareness of safety issues including the above, through a multi agency approach alongside schools.
