The Metropolitan Police have asked Hillingdon Neighbourhood Watch to publish the following update which is extremely good news for our Borough - a small number of burglary teams commit a large number of burglaries, some teams commit 7 or 8 in a single night across several Boroughs or Counties for example, so the cumulative evidence from residents for a string of burglaries is often the catalyst for the type of result described below - so stay vigilant and please continue to support our local officers by reporting all crime… ![]() West Area BCU Burglary & Robbery Investigation Team (BRIT) officers have been working tirelessly to find a number of males who have been committing aggravated burglaries in Hillingdon and surrounding boroughs in recent months. On Monday 11th March at approximately 2243 hours, officers from West Area BCU in partnership with the Flying Squad and MO7 colleagues identified a stolen vehicle at the scene of a recent burglary. With the help of National Police Air Service (NPAS) the suspect vehicle was traced and officers on the ground attempted to stop the vehicle but a pursuit ensued. Shortly after, the vehicle occupants decamped from the vehicle and made off on foot. 3 males were located nearby and arrested for a number of offences: Billy Hanrahan, 03/03/2002 of Long Elmes, Harrow Jerry Hanrahan, 19/02/1974 of Trowell Avenue, Nottingham John Connors, 10/05/1991 of no fixed abode ![]() Due to the incredibly hard work of officers from West Areas Complex Case Unit all 3 males were charged with 45 offences relating to conspiracy to commit burglary and aggravated burglary. The males have been remanded into custody and are awaiting a court date.
