Here are the crime updates for the Handsworth Wood area from 29/01/2025 until 28/02/2025.

 

Church Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle- Between 9pm on 10/02/2025 and 6.56am on 11/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Nissan Juke. Offenders have gained entry and stolen vehicle by unknown means.

 

Newcombe Road – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 5pm on 10/02/2025 and 2.40pm on 11/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Seat Ibiza. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown mean, conducted a search of the vehicle. Items stolen clothing. Trainers, driving licence and bank cards. 

 

Oxhill Road – Theft of a motor vehicle -Between 8am and 11.30am on 12/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall Mokka. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole it. 

 

Onibury Road – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 10pm on 12/02/2025 and 8am on 13/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Peugeot 3008. Offenders gained entry to vehicle via driver’s side door. Offenders searched vehicle.

 

Island Road – Theft of a motor vehicle- Between 11.35am and 11.36am on 11/02/2025, unknown persons approached an insecure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Vehicle was left open with keys inside the vehicle whilst driver was delivering a parcel. Offenders stole vehicle. 

 

Stockwell Road – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 1am and 5.38pm on 13/02/2025, unknown persons approached an insecure, parked and unattended Toyota Yaris. Offenders stole a laptop from vehicle. 

 

Hollycroft Road – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 6am and 8.30am on 14/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Audi Quattro. Offenders have forced entry to vehicle and stole a Badminton racket to the value of £130.

 

Hollycroft Road- Interference with a motor vehicle- Between 11.15pm on 12/02/2025 and 12.01am on 13/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Audi A3. Offenders smashed windscreen and broke door handles to vehicle. 

 

Newcombe Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 2pm on 14/02/2025 and 5.50am on 15/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Mercedes E200. Offenders gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

 

Newcombe Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 7.30am and 12pm on 15/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Mercedes. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. Offenders stole purse (containing bank cards), perfume, make up and laptop.

Woodcroft Avenue – Inference with a motor vehicle – Between 12:45am and 2:33pm on 17/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Mercedes Sprinter Van. Access into vehicle was not gained. 

 

Aylesford Road- Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 7pm and 11:59pm on 18/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Audi A6. Offenders gained entry to the vehicle by unknown means. Items stolen were power tools from boot of vehicle.

 

Oxhill Road – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 9am on 19/02/2025 and 11:30am on 21/02/2025, unknown persons approached a Toyota. Offenders removed and stole front number plates from vehicle by unknown means. 

 

Uplands Road-Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 8pm on 21/02/2025 and 11:59pm on 21/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Kia Niro. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole numerous bank cards. 

 

Westbourne Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 7pm on 22/02/2025 and 12:15 on 23/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Renault Megane. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

 

Farcroft Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – Between 2:30am and 6:15pm on 25/02/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended Kia Creed. Offenders attempted to open car door by pulling door handle before being disturbed by vehicle owner. 

 

Carlton Avenue – Theft from a motor vehicle- Between 5pm on 24/02/2025 and 7:14am on 24/02/2025, unknown persons gained access to unlocked, parked and unattended Mercedes 200E. Offenders opened door and stole the following items from inside vehicle. Iphone 8, perfume, tool box, bank cards and driving licence. 

 

Acfold Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 4:42am and 5:25am on 25/02/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended Lexus IS 300. Offenders entered vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

 

Selbourne Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 26/02/2025 and 7:30am on 27/02/2025, unknown persons approached a Ford Fiesta. Offenders have stolen the following parts from vehicle. Front gill, front bumper radiator and front number plate.

 

Wood Lane – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 7:35am and 7:57am on 26/02/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended Honda Civic. Offenders stole front and rear number plate. 

 

Taverners Green – Burglary – Between 12am on 18/02/2025 and 10:37am on 26/02/2025, unknown persons secured entry to property by smashing bathroom window.  Offenders stole Sony TV, laptop, pair of trainers and a selection of perfumes.

 

Everest Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 1am and 3:35pm on 27/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Fiesta.  Offenders removed and stole front bumper and front number plate. 

 

Uplands Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 8pm and 11:59pm on 21/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Kia Niro. Offenders have gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole a number of bank cards from inside. 

 

Westbourne Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 7pm on 22/02/2025 and 12:15am on 23/02/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended Renault Megane. Offenders gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

 

Farcroft Road – Inference with a motor vehicle – Between 2.30am and 6.15pm on 25/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Kia Ceed 1.

Good news:

  • Officers conducted pro-active patrols with parking enforcement and Birmingham City Council on Rookery Road. Twenty parking tickets issued.
  • Officers visited Grove School alongside Makki Masjid to support fundraisers raising money for Birmingham Children Hospital.
  • Three individuals arrested for Burglary.
  • A number of vehicles seized for no tax, no insurance or road obstruction.
