Crime Report Sutton in Ashfield for the week to midnight Wednesday 12 March 2025


Officers from the Sutton Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

Theft of motor vehicle

Between 7.15pm on Friday 7 and 10.30am on Saturday 8 March in Newbound Lane, Norwood, Sutton in Ashfield, a blue Volkswagen Golf car, which had been left in a lay-by with a flat tyre, was stolen.

At 3.20pm on Saturday 8 March at the KFC in Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a black Menzies carrier bag containing cash and a mobile phone was stolen while the male owner was sat in the middle of the restaurant.

Around 6.15pm on Sunday 9 March in Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a black mountain bike, with INFX in gold lettering, left chained up outside the McDonald’s restaurant, was stolen.

Around 5.50pm on Tuesday 11 March in Brand Lane, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a male called to collect an item he had purchased via an internet sales site. While in the property he stole a Samsung Galaxy Edge mobile phone.

Criminal Damage

Between 12.00am and 5.20pm on Thursday 6 March at Beechwood Court, Beechwood Close, Sutton in Ashfield, the wiring of a mobility scooter, parked outside a front door, was ripped out.

ASB

Around 2.34pm on Saturday 8 March in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a woman was standing at some traffic lights waiting to cross the road when four males drove up in a large white car, possibly a BMW. They pipped the horn and then squirted some liquid over her from a water gun.
