The Metropolitan Police have asked Hillingdon Neighbourhood Watch to circulate the following important message:

The police need your help to identify a suspect described as a black male who wears a high-vis jacket, and has been seen in Ickenham library car park pretending to be a traffic warden and committing fraud against the elderly by convincing them to pay by card using his machine; a similar suspect (who may or may not be the same person) has also used distraction techniques to steal bank cards from elderly people in the Ruislip area.

Please be vigilant around car park payment points and cash points, and report any sightings or encounters with this fake warden to the police immediately.  Look out for elderly people falling victim to this type of crime, and tell your elderly neighbours if they are not online and receiving this message.

If you believe that a crime is in progress then you should call 999.  If the suspect has made off but you have valuable eyewitness information please call 101, again as soon as possible, giving exact location.
