Man appears in court charged with attempted murder


 

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed at a house in Biddulph. 

We were called at 1.10am on Saturday morning (15 March) to reports of a burglary at a property on Congleton Road. 

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head, chest and back. He has now been discharged from hospital. 

Jordan Williamson, 31, from Congleton, has been charged with attempted murder, assault by beating, affray, assault by beating of an emergency worker, possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress. 

Williamson appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Monday 17 March). He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 14 April.
